Curiosamente, siamo entrambi cresciuti a Lugano senza esserci mai incontrati. Ci sono voluti un'arena di laser-game e una raclette fumante per farci conoscere davvero: il 10 dicembre 2022, alla festa dei 30 anni della sorella di Marco.

Da lì è iniziata una storia a distanza tra Friborgo, dove viveva Fedra, e Zurigo, dove viveva Marco — fatta di viaggi in treno, videochiamate e weekend mai abbastanza lunghi.

Il 1° luglio 2024 abbiamo finalmente colmato la distanza, trasferendoci in un nuovo appartamento a Zurigo che oggi condividiamo con i nostri tre gatti. Il 26 settembre 2026, nel Ticino dove tutto è cominciato, ci diremo "sì".

Funnily enough, we both grew up in Lugano and somehow never crossed paths. In the end it took a laser-tag arena and a pot of melting raclette to bring us together — on 10 December 2022, at the 30th birthday party of Marco's sister.

What followed was a long-distance love story between Fribourg, where Fedra was living, and Zurich, where Marco was — a stretch of train rides, video calls and weekends that were never quite long enough.

On 1 July 2024 we closed the distance for good, moving into a new apartment in Zurich that we now share with our three cats. On 26 September 2026, back in the Ticino where it all began, we'll say "I do".

Kurioserweise sind wir beide in Lugano aufgewachsen, ohne uns je begegnet zu sein. Am Ende brauchte es eine Lasertag-Arena und ein gemütliches Raclette-Essen, um uns zusammenzubringen — am 10. Dezember 2022, an der Feier zum 30. Geburtstag von Marcos Schwester.

Es folgte eine Fernbeziehung zwischen Freiburg, wo Fedra lebte, und Zürich, wo Marco war — voller Zugfahrten, Videoanrufe und Wochenenden, die nie ganz lang genug waren.

Am 1. Juli 2024 überwanden wir die Distanz endgültig und zogen in eine neue Wohnung in Zürich, die wir heute mit unseren drei Katzen teilen. Am 26. September 2026 geben wir uns im Tessin, wo alles begann, das Ja-Wort.

Curieusement, nous avons tous les deux grandi à Lugano sans jamais nous croiser. Il aura fallu une arène de laser game et une raclette fumante pour nous réunir — le 10 décembre 2022, à la fête des 30 ans de la sœur de Marco.

S'ensuivit une histoire à distance entre Fribourg, où vivait Fedra, et Zurich, où était Marco — faite de trajets en train, d'appels vidéo et de week-ends jamais assez longs.

Le 1er juillet 2024, nous avons enfin comblé la distance en emménageant dans un nouvel appartement à Zurich, que nous partageons aujourd'hui avec nos trois chats. Le 26 septembre 2026, au Tessin où tout a commencé, nous nous dirons « oui, je le veux ».
